Cupcake Star Power: Katie Holmes Katie Holmes, often recognized as the ever charming Joey Potter from the classic teenage-drama hit TV show Dawson’s Creek is often seen along the streets of New York with her cute daughter Suri Cruise. Internet photos and articles catch up with Katie Holmes searching for her favourite sweet treat – cupcakes. She’s been spotted more than once treating her daughter and herself to some sweet luscious freshly baked cupcakes at NYC’s most famous cupcake shop – at the famous Magnolia Cupcake Bakery. Magnolia is a favorite spot for super stars and Hollywood A-listers to frequent all year long. The renowned cupcake hot spot has been home to stars and has been featured in a number of movies and TV shows including The Devil Wears Prada with Anne Hathaway, the movie – Prime, and the ever famed HBO original TV series Sex and The City. However, Magnolia bakery isn’t the only cupcake destination for Katie Holmes and baby Suri. This famous mother-daughter duo has taken their cupcake ventures on tour to many different cities. They’ve been spotted trying out delectable cupcakes all over L.A including Katie’s favorite bakery – Crumbs, and Le Pain Quotidien bakery in Beverly Hills. An issue from online magazine Instyle features one of Katie Holmes’ favorite cupcake shops – Billy’s Bakery. "Billy's is my spot...The day I got my place I had cupcakes brought to me by a friend. I had to promise myself to go only once a week, because otherwise I'll be a moose." Sure cupcakes can add calories. However, you won’t find an extra ounce on these superstars. Katie and Tom work out by getting their dose of fun running along the Charles River.. Calories or not, cupcakes are the number one choice for Katie. She’s known to have ordered a bunch of cute mini sprinkles cupcakes for Suri’s birthday bash (on more than one birthday!). Imagine being 4 years old and having those delectable cupcakes generously frosted as if the baker has an unlimited supply of icing and then topped with colourful sprinkles. And smacked dab in the middle of the cupcake stands a long intricately decorated birthday candle. Even Katie herself was given her share of birthday cupcakes. On her 27th birthday, her hubby Tom gave her a number of mouth-watering birthday cupcakes lined along the table. Each cupcake had a long candle plunged through it and Katie (still pregnant with Suri at that time) enlisted her husband’s help to blow out the flames. Birthday parties, wedding receptions, or simply day-to-day treats can truly be made more special with intricately designed and lovingly baked cupcakes.
